This is a little place in the middle of Rome, Itally off the metro stop Pyramide that we accidentally stumbled upon. We had spent all day around town fighting off pickpockets and hunger and anger at people being so bold about trying to steal our shit. We were all irritable and miserable and tired. We were about to get on the metro to go back home when we randomly decided to walk through a gate and down into this wonderful place. An old british woman runs this cat sanctuary. She has dedicated her life to making sure the cemetary cats are fed and watered and healthy and loved.

So we sat and relaxed and let the city melt away while we pet the cats and took pictures. This one was my favourite of the set.
